Field of Screams is a haunted attraction in Mountville, Pennsylvania. There are four main attractions, including; The Nocturnal Wasteland, the Haunted Hayride, the Den of Darkness, and the Frightmare Asylum.

Lila Carroll (18) has been to the haunted house 3 times prior to this year.

“Each time I have gone I almost peed my pants,” Lila Carroll (’18) said, “I remember last year when I went ‘Jason’ chased me around with a chainsaw and that scared the crap out of me.”

Carroll enjoys spending this spooky season jumping out of her seat from the thrilling scares.

“I’m going because it is a great way to kick off the Halloween season,” Carroll (’18) said.

Many love the thrill and adrenaline rush that only a scary experience can produce. However, some would rather stick to the softer version of Oct. 31.

“I am really not a fan of haunted houses or horror movies, or anything scary for that matter,” Spencer Hennessey (18) said, “I’m not about to have a psychopathic clown chase me around with a chainsaw. I plan on just having fun with friends in funny costumes.”

“I love the asylum and the den of darkness because every time you turn a corner you don’t know what’s going to pop out next… I would definitely go again because its only open for a short amount of time every year and there’s nothing like it in Hereford,” Paige Keefe said.
