Back to school night invites parents to meet teachers

Back to school night brings nerves to teachers who worry about the time constraint, introductions, covering the syllabus, and showing the parents around the school.

This year’s back to school night, on Thursday, Sept. 3, will begin with the parents meeting in the auditorium at 5:30p.m. The parents will follow their students’ schedule.

Social Studies teacher Randi Jones is about to encounter her first back to school night at Hereford High School. “My expectations are that a lot of people will be there and that they are eager to kind of learn what their student is doing,” she said.

With the help of administration and members of the National Honors Society, parents will go through their child’s schedule and become more informed about their children’s classes and teachers.
