Katie Salko
Katie Salko (’20) has been involved in journalism for the past two years, last year holding the role of Features Editor. This year, Salko is a co-managing editor with Lindsay Clarke (’20). Journalism is her favorite class because it is different every day; there is no set plan or curriculum that the teacher has to follow so you never know what to expect. When Salko is not in class, her time is spent on five different honor societies, being the captain of the cross-country team, and different clubs, including Student Council, HOPE club, and Future Physicians. She is a member of Future Physicians because she hopes to go into the medical field after college. Outside of school, Salko loves to go on hikes and walk her dog, Reagan. Her favorite show is “Friends” and her favorite movie is “The Sound of Music.” Salko has followed her passion for traveling to Spain and Italy, and she hopes to one day travel to France.
