President Trump Releases Ukraine Call Transcript, Whistleblower Complaint

Following the initiation of an inquiry into impeachment from the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, President Trump released the transcript from his call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky as well as the whistleblower complaint from a CIA official close to the White House. The transcript revealed that there was no explicit quid-pro-quo between President Trump and Zelensky surrounding an investigation into Hunter and Joe Biden’s alleged misconduct, but many in the House still believe the presidents conduct during the call was improper. During the call, President Trump also mentioned a possible Ukrainian investigation into CrowdStrike, the company which investigated the hacking of the DNC. It is unclear whether the president’s disclosure of the transcript will slow down or stop the impeachment inquiry.
