The For Our Troops club is accepting gently used or new children’s books to donate to the USO and soldiers at BWI airport. The soldiers will be able to record themselves reading a book and send the recording to their child. The child will also receive a copy of the book to read along. The goal of this drive is to provide “a meaningful opportunity for children to feel connected to their parents, who are abroad and serving,” Jenna Tagnola (’18), president of the club, said. Donations will be collected in Mr. Greenwood’s room (M214) and in a box in the main lobby. They are also accepting packaged water bottles for soldiers who are waiting to board their flight in the airport, this can also be brought to Mr. Greenwood’s room.  Collection for books and water bottle cases will end on Friday, May 11.
