Mu Alpha Theta Math Competition
October 24, 2017
The members of the Mu Alpha Theta will be participating in the first part of the 39th annual University of Maryland High School Mathematics competition in the cafeteria tomorrow during period 6. The members are taking a test and competing for the top 3 spots which have a prize of 100 to 500 dollars and a full scholarship to UMD. The second part of the competition is on Nov. 29th.
“This is my first year with Mu Alpha Theta and my first math competition, so I have no idea what to expect,” member Abbey Klink (’19) said. “I’m considering tomorrow to be a ‘dry run’ for myself and then come back to the next one prepared.”
