10 years ago, the NFL landscape looked a lot different. Here’s a glimpse back at some of the biggest turnarounds from 2007 to now.

Los Angeles Rams

            2007- The first very noticeable change for the Rams doesn’t even relate to their on-the-field play; they were the St. Louis Rams until this year. Now onto the season, and maybe one the team would like to forget. Ending the season at 3-13, there wasn’t much to gain from the season and the struggles would continue for years to come.

2017- The now Los Angeles Rams have begun the season on the right foot, opening with a 4-2 record and boasting one of the best offenses in the league. A star has emerged in the form of running back Todd Gurley, playing in his third year, who has pushed himself into MVP consideration.

Kansas City Chiefs

2007- Led by iconic head coach turned ESPN analyst Herm Edwards, the Chiefs could never get going on the offensive end. With Quarterback Trent Green being traded to the Redskins, the position was up in the air. Damon Huard captured the starting job but lost it after injury in week 10. The Chiefs ended with a 4-12 record, tied for last in the AFC West.

2017- Until last week, one undefeated team remained in the league, that title belonging to the Kansas City Chiefs and despite a tough loss to the Steelers, the Chiefs stay at the top of the league. Led by rookie sensation running back Kareem Hunt and explosive wide receiver and return man Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs have a ridiculously potent offense this year compared to their 2007 team.

Indianapolis Colts

2007- The Colts were in the midst of a strong core team in 2007. Coming off the high of a Super Bowl victory the year before, legendary quarterback Peyton Manning and veteran head coach Tony Dungy were poised to repeat. Ending the regular season with a 13-3 record, the Colts won their fifth straight AFC South Championship but lost to the San Diego Chargers in the divisional round.

2017- With almost a completely new roster, the Colts are in a rebuilding phase. At 2-3, they currently sit at last in a weak division and the only bright spot, quarterback Andrew Luck, has not played yet this year. Most fans have given up on the year and will look to the upcoming draft for possibly another piece to help Luck.
