When is fall coming?

Chloe Parker, Reporter

Waking up in the morning is probably one of the toughest parts of my day. Making it even harder is getting out of bed only to be surprised by 40 degree weather and the fact that you can see your breath walking to the bus stop. This is perfect weather for leggings and a sweatshirt but when the last bell rings, it’s about 75 to 80 degrees, typical t-shirt and shorts weather.

I have lost time in the morning because I have been contemplating what to wear, causing me to almost miss my ride to school. I know I will get hot in leggings by the end of the day, but wearing shorts has me leave the house shivering with goose bumps all over my legs.

By the time school ends and practice starts, it seems to be like April or May with the weather we are having. I haven’t had to wear a single sweatshirt, long sleeve, or a pair of sweat pants. It’s too hot for me to even wear a shirt or tank-top under my practice pinny. Constantly having to refill my water and hustling in the heat is not something I want to be doing when nearing Halloween.

It’s already the first week of October and we haven’t had a week where it doesn’t reach 70 degrees. Fall is my favorite season, with the weather being my favorite aspect, wearing summer clothes is not something I’m too thrilled about.

With this hot weather, hot chocolate and pumpkin spice lattes don’t feel in season. Students don’t have a lot of time in the morning to get up and go get a hot drink before school. By the time school is over or practice is done, you won’t need these hot drinks to warm you up.
