Plant life is returning in the front of the school. Spring has arrived.

Spring is starting and I have never been more ready for a break. Even though we just had two snow days, that wasn’t enough. All over Instagram people are posting pictures of them at the beach with a caption about having Spring Fever.

“I’m just ready to sleep in and take a break on homework right before I have to cram for AP Exams,” Lynzie Ritz (’19) said. AP tests are coming up and I need to start studying, but I can’t even get out of bed in the morning, let alone go over 500 flashcards.

A month ago I would wake up at 5:30 a.m., get ready for school, and be out the door on time. Now, I wake up at six and lay in bed for the next 30 minutes thinking about how tired I am. By the time I get home from school I am ready for a nap. But, I’ve got work and then martial arts. After that I don’t get home until 10:30 p.m. and then I shower and go start my homework.

I have a couple of hours in between all of that to get some homework done, but I’ve lost all my motivation. Emma Arthur (’18) said, “The odds of me doing my homework as soon as I get home are extremely low.” I am glad to know I’m not the only one.

Having homework in eight classes, three of them being AP’s, plus having registered for two AP exams, I have no clue how I will get myself to study or do work. The only reason I brought myself to get this blog done was because my grade depended on it.
