The best resolution is a new binge show

When people think of the New Year, making new years resolutions often comes to mind. While it is important to eat healthier, go to the gym more, and break bad habits, watching a new Netflix series might solve all of your issues and be exactly what you need for 2017.

This might make absolutely no sense to some. But to those who have experienced what being addicted to a show is like, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. When you start to love a show so much there is this weird feeling you get while watching it. I know when I watch a show I have been binge watching on Netflix for months, I feel like I have some connection with the characters.

I know this sounds insane, but having a Netflix show that you know what to expect from is really nice. Every day, after I have come home from track, finish the hours of homework I had, and eat dinner, I know I can count on Peyton Sawyer and Brooke Davis from “One Tree Hill” to give me a laugh. Something about this 41-minute television show really makes my day.

The difference between a show on Netflix and just a show on TV is that you can always watch another episode on Netflix. If an exciting episode ends on a cliffhanger, you don’t have to wait until the following week to figure out what happened to your favorite character. All you have to click is one button, just one button, for 40 more minutes of pleasure.

Another plus of watching a show on Netflix is there is no need to stress about missing your show that airs on Tuesday at 8:00pm. You can have the next episode at your fingertips which is very convenient.

Whether it’s “Greys Anatomy”, “Criminal Minds,” “Stranger Things”, or another show of your choosing, pick it, watch it, then watch it again, and I promise you will love it. A good show is almost as a good book, you want to keep watching and then often times when you get to the end you don’t want it to be over.
