Field and Nawrocki nominated for National Merit Scholarship
September 16, 2016
This year, seniors Robert Nawrocki (’17) and Hunter Field (’17) have qualified as National Merit Semifinalists. The decision was based on their PSAT scores from October of their junior year, which were in the top one percent of the PSAT’s taken by current high school seniors.
Senior Samantha Rathgeber (’17) was also chosen as a National Hispanic Scholar.
“This is great news,” Principal Joe Jira said.
“This achievement represents the hard work of these students and the quality of instruction and support they received from their teachers, families, and administrators,” BCPS Superintendent Dallas Dance said.
Only 7 Baltimore County Public Schools had finalists. Field and Nawrocki were the only students to qualify from Hereford.
