sAfter an impressive August workout, former Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow has signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets. It won’t be his first time in New York, as he was a backup quarterback for the New York Jets in 2012.

Tebow hasn’t played competitive baseball since high school but his workout caught the eye of a few teams. Atlanta Braves general manager Coppolella expressed interest in Tebow after watching his workout.

Tebow’s pure athleticism and size make him a good fit in any sport, especially with baseball where he worked out at outfield. He’s expected to be promoted to the Mets Double-A level in Binghamton.
