Peaceful demonstration to be held against gun violence

On the morning of June 12, people across the world were shocked to discover that the deadliest mass shooting in US history had occurred in Orlando, Florida. The past few years have seen an increase in gun violence in the States, and aggravated students are starting to respond to this. This Tuesday and Wednesday a peaceful demonstration will be taking place down the street from the campus along the road of the public library, starting at 3 pm on both days. Participants will share a desire for a call to peace and to raise awareness for the continuing fight against mass gun violence. This student organized event is not meant to be hostile or heavily political. Anyone and everyone is invited to join. Contact Shaina Lee (’17) at 443-687-0443 if you have any questions.
