The FFA is attending a field trip to the Harrisburg Farm Festival. Where there is a dairy and sheep show as well as a collection of venders and college booths looking for high school students with an interest in the field of Agriculture. Samantha Preston (’15) said her class is excited to go to this fair and that it is something she looks forward to.

“It’s a lot of fun we went there last year” Taylor Ingram (’16) said. Ingram says that it’s not just the animals the club is looking forward to seeing at the festival “They sell potato donuts that like everybody loves,”

“There are producers there and people who sell equipment you can to talk to them to find out more about the field you want to get into,” he is not the only one in FFA looking for a career in Ag.

“I’m planning on either going into Ag production or Ag business.” Preston (‘15) , a member of FFA and 4-h since middle school said.

For these students FFA is a great way to learn about everything from Botanical science, Agriculture technology, and Veterinary care and more.

“It’s so great to be with all our friends,” Ingram said.

“In the intro course we make cheese, all kinds of flavors of cheese. A lot of breakfasts and when the chickens were here we used their eggs,” Preston said smiling.
