Field Hockey wins Regional Finals

The Field Hockey team won 8-0 against Rising Sun on Wednesday, October 29 in the Regional Championship game. The team left school at 1:00 to travel an hour away for the 3:30 game.

The game was played on grass in the rain. “It was scary and funny at the same time. We were slipping and sliding a lot, especially Maddie Hoover. It made it difficult to always keep possession, but when we had possession, we kept good care of the ball,” said Maggie Gutberlet (’15).

The first goal was scored within the first three minutes of the game by Emma Reider (’17) with an assist from sister, Lucy Reider (’15). Other goals were scored by Lucy, Haley Jolly (’16), Rachel Karwacki (’16), Kailyn Brandt (’17), Grace Pfarr (’16), and Maggie added two goals to the score.

The team will play State-Semi Finals on Monday, November 3 at Paint Branch High School against Glenelg.
