On April 21, LGBTQ+ students and allies will be participating in the Day of Silence, run by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). Individuals who signed the pledge and are wearing a corresponding sticker or pin have vowed to not speak for the length of the day in order to bring awareness to the silence faced by LGBTQ+ teens caused by bullying, name-calling, and harassment.
